Prayer is the vital part of the Christian life. The Lord continues to teach his deciples not only how to pray but what to pray for:
Luke 11:2 “…Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.” 1. For the Lost
Mark 1:14-15 “…Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
Revelation 22:17 “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Romans 10:1 “Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.”
1 Timothy 2:1, 4 “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men… vs 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
Luke 15:7 “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”
Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Matthew 9:38 “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
2. For the Will of God
Luke 11:2 “…Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.”
We know that God is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” ~ 2 Peter 3:9
However once a person comes to Christ, God desires to work in that person’s life to make, mold, and change them into the image of Jesus Christ the Holy one of God.
Romans 8:29 “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”
1 Thessalonians 4:3 “For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:”
